It is the tallest building, which has been built so far in the world.    It was built in Dubai - United Arab Emirates capital city (the latter is a power in the extraction of oil).

Burj Dubai has a height of 828 meters (206 floors! - Including utility 160 floors).

Construction of the skyscraper began 5 years ago (exactly on 15.04.2005) and initially it was not planned to be so high, but during the construction decisions were twice on its increase, therefore, designers have been already converting the strength of parts made and correcting structural elements of the building. The lower floors were built of reinforced concrete frame, the highest part of the building is made of lightweight steel construction.  Up to 156 floors (585 m) of reinforced concrete construction was performed using a vertically pumped concrete!

The main designer of the building is an American architect Adrian Smith.

Records that reached the building:
• in September 2008 reached a height of 700.9 and became the first construction, which exceeded height of 700 m.
• in December 2008 reached a height of 780 m.
• In January 2009, reached his target height of 828 meters -an incredible altitude (people who stood at the top of this building - and there were not  many of them - said they had felt like at the foot of the sky: nothing around and nothing above you)

• the highest free standing structure
• managed the highest floor
• highest outdoor observation deck (124 floors)
• longest lift shaft (measuring 492 m traversed in 2 minutes high-speed greater than in the park Disneyland).
• the world's highest mosque is located on the 158th floor
• on the 76th floor there is a large swimming pool

The tower is host to about 1000 flats (apartments). During the construction of the scyscraper you could buy an apartment for more than 21 000 U.S. dollars per square meter!
Now is the restatement - you can buy a flat there for about 10 000 dollars per square meter!

Opening ceremony took place in January 2010
The opening ceremony was attended by 60 thousand guests from around the world.
