Research conducted by the Centre for Service Research aling.pl in 2010 shows that over 70% of students studying English can not communicate with an English native speaker. Is that a result of laziness of Polish students or a lack of appropriate preparation of teachers?
Everything looks very simple and logical, when we sit on the bench and listen to what we have to check with for 2 weeks. Then we pass the exam on a very good grade and forget what has been learned. Although we understand everything our tutors say and what is recorded in the dialogues or texts, lively English is very different. Why is this happening? Well, English language, also called an international language, allows us to communicate in every country (every 7 encountered person is able to provide us with needed information in English). However, when going to the UK, our self-criticism will grow incredibly, because we find the very outset that we do not know what to say. The same applies to Ireland and other English-speaking countries. The reason English is so varied is caused by a huge territorial coverage. It is impossible for the distance of several thousand kilometers, to be the identical language. Another factor is an age - language is different in two different parts of the globe.
Fact: Poland, a small country, but also with various dialects in different parts , ie Kaszubski or Goralski.
That's exactly what it looks like - understanding London's English , does not necessarily guarantee that you will understand live language, used every day.
