People of many non-English-speaking countries show great enthusiasm in learning English. Take China for example. English is a compulsory subject for primary, middle school and college students. Extra classes for English cost a great deal of money and are always in demand.
What makes people so enthusiastic about English?
Some people learn English because they want to study abroad. Others find it easier to find a highly paid job if they speak good English or have a certificate to prove they can speak English well.
But no matter what kind of advantages English can bring us, the reasons why we study English so hard have something in common — we want to communicate efficiently with foreign people, like our bosses, colleagues or classmates in the future.
Learning English is not an easy thing. You have to put in effort and keep up your passion all through your learning.
